MOSCOW, Dec 1 (PRIME) -- VTB Capital is discussing issuance of sovereign Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) bonds, Andrei Solovyov, head of the fixed capital market, said on Wednesday.
"We offered them this topic as well,” Solovyov said referring to the Finance Ministry. “Green debt issue as such by the sovereign is impossible due to the current budget rules."
He added that the bank can issue other types of ESG bonds.
